A Newer, Better Trough
Posted on in Industrial by Marvin Reiff
Making things work better comes naturally to Greenwood Silo. One innovative example is our proprietary tapered and beveled stainless-steel trough design. The idea for the new design came from observing feed hitting a bottleneck in a Harvestore silo system and having difficulty discharging into the trough while the unloader is running.
The improved tapered and beveled stainless-steel trough design increases capacity of the unloader, reducing both the time and cost involved with feeding cows.
Trough conversions are also available. Customers have reported that they have witnessed a doubling in feed discharge capacity after converting to our design.
Call us today to book your next silo project or upgrade your silo with a trough conversion. Trough conversions include widening the trough, a new set of new ¾” floor plates, and epoxy coating on the sides of the trough. Conversions start at $3,600.
